Cafe on the Square opened in 2003 in the spot of the long time Corner Cafe in Seward Nebraska. Our building was originally
built in 1890 and housed the local bank. The owners prior to us operated the Corner Cafe in that location since
the 50's. When we purchased the building, we decided to restore as much of it back to it’s original
condition as possible.
The restaurant
sports an early Americana atmosphere with detailed woodwork, tin ceilings, exposed brick walls, stained glass
and leaded windows, and a plethora of unique-to-the-era décor.Cafe on the Square features many homestyle foods,
specialty entrees, salads, sandwiches, soups and desserts. Beer and Wine are also available.
We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Monday thru Saturday, and open for Breakfast and Lunch on Sunday.
